You can spend a week in Puerto Rico like this: two days in the capital area (San Juan), visiting the Old San Juan, El Morro and a side trip to the east coast to visit el Yunque rainforest. After that I’ll move to the west coast and stay in the town of Rincon (surfing & great sunsets) or Cabo Rojo (near playa el combate) other nearby town is Lajas where you can visit other great beaches such as bahia sucia & Boqueron. While in the south west you can’t miss the bioluminescence bay, it’s a unique experience. If you like mountains, then the center of PR is the place, you may want to stay in paradores such as Gripinas in Jayuya. In the south side of the island in the town of Guanica there’s a Dry forest which is a very interesting place to visit after you have seen all the different topography & vegetation of the island. Finally I’ll say that a visit to the small islands of Vieques & Culebra would be great side trips while in the east side of the island. It will all depend on your interests. Just go to http://www.gotopuertorico.com and you’ll get a good idea of things & places in PR.
PS
The food is great so dont miss it!

Would it be cheaper to buy a Costa Rica vacation package from Hotels.com or separately?
I’m planning a short trip to Costa Rica for about 5-6 days. Would it be cheaper to buy a vacation package deal from hotels.com or buy airfare separately online and then book hotels locally when I get there? Where would be a good and cheap place to stay in San Jose and Quepos? What are the availability around this time of year? What is the best traveling method from San Jose to Quepos?

Union Square is probably the best place to stay. There are lots of good restaurants, shops, theaters and clubs in the Union Square area. It is centrally located easy to walk to many places, easier to get cabs, with lots of public transportation options. Driving in the city can be confusing for visitors and parking is difficult and expensive. Muni offers multi day passes that are good for buses, trolley, light rail and the cable cars [unique experience but $5 per ride]. Your child can ride public transport free.

Joie de Vivre http://www.jdvhotels.com has several hotels in the Union Square area one is sure to be within your budget. Each hotel is unique and they have a cool free program where they match you with a local person, called a Golden Gate Greeter, who shares your interests to spend a few hours with you and familiarize yourself with the city. http://www.goldengategreeter.com

Are there any major brand name condo hotels that sell vacation homes that people can own?
and rent the condo hotel room in the USA?
Condo hotels are typically high-rise buildings developed and operated as luxury hotels, usually in major cities and resorts in the US and around the world. These hotels have condominium units which allow someone to own a full-service vacation home. When they aren’t using this home, they can leverage the marketing and management done by the hotel chain to rent and manage the condo unit as it would any other hotel room.

When do deals for hotels and vacation packages for disneyworld come out for 2011?
is it soon?

Often the “deals” do not come out until well into the year – that can vary with Disney’s need to up business or traffic in the parks.
The vacation package prices come out in late August of the year before – so 2011 should be up in a bit over a month. You can book and often if a better value comes out, call and rebook using the better option for you. Disney will not guarantee the same room etc. if you do this – but I have in the past and it always worked out well.

Please suggest Family Hotels/vacation appartmens in San Francisco Area CA – traveling with our 3 yr old toddl?
Could you please recommend us a place to stay – hotel or a vacation rental close to the touristy stuff -Also we don’t drive, so we would prefer to be in a place where we can find restaurants/stores at walking distance. Please suggest a clear and safe area as we will be travelling with our 3 ear old. Thanks

Go to
http://www.ilovecostarica.com for info…. or
http://www.truecostarica.com loads of info available.
I saw book a package deal, especially cheaper if you want to actually tour the countryside….there are some wonderful deals for just under $1,000 for 10 days including tours throughout the country, meals and hotels throughout the country. You get to see the sites, taste the foods and stay at more than one hotel/villa! I have friends in San Jose and hope to go down for a visit next spring – stay with them some, but plan to take a package tour also…Have fun!
