There has been a surge of new Affiliate Marketers as of late due to the current state of the economy. Many are trying to supplement there incomes by working online. You may be finding yourself in this new environment, wondering how to get started. It is very important to get an affiliate marketing education and you should enroll in some sort of online class or membership site to fill this need.

That being said, is it possible to make some bank while you are learning? Well as a mater of fact it is. This article will address the how to affiliate marketing for newbies. Making some money while you are gaining affiliate marketing skills.

There is a simple and effective technique that when implemented can pay for your
course(s) and put a little in the bank. The beauty of this is you need practically no skills, no website, and no money, well almost none.

Most affiliate marketing courses will charge you a monthly membership. At first that might seem to be a negative thing, but in all reality it is positive and can be turned in your favor. I belong to two of these membership sites. One cost each month and the other cost each month. I may seem insane to you but I really like these numbers, and here is the reason why.

Both offer an affiliate program. I am not talking about the course or schooling itself but rather their referral program. Both will give you 50% commissions for anyone you can get to sign up to the program. You will be showing a profit on the third referral! Your education becomes free at this point and your are now in the black, making some bank.

This is not some MLM scam. No one is left holding the bag with a ton of useless products. You are encouraging others to take advantage of the very schooling that is teaching you to make money online. Your referrals will be thanking you for tipping them off to this valuable information. This is no joke, I get thank you emails each day from referrals.

Back to the how to affiliate marketing for newbies. Any merchant worth his or her salt spends thousands of dollars on their advertising program. This means that since these courses offer an affiliate marketing program for their members, they have spent thousands of dollars on development and testing to get their sales pages (the ones you will be using) to be high converting power houses.

All you have to do is send traffic to their sales page and they do all the rest of the work and give you 50% of the revenue! By the way this is a monthly stream of income. Contrary to popular belief you will NOT need a landing page to pre-sell your customers. You will be sending them straight to the high converting power house of a sales page your merchant spent the money to develop. 100% of your referrals will be reaching the merchants high converting sales page. None will be getting lost at some pre-sell landing page you spent hours to make and money to host.

Here is more how to affiliate marketing (for newbies). You need to register a domain name. If you shop around this can be done for less than for the year. Only register the domain, do not purchase hosting or anything else. Make sure of two things when considering a domain. It should be easy to remember and it needs to be a .com, not a .info or .tv or .net or any other confusing extension. Make the domain blend able with your product you are promoting. For example, if promoting AffiliateClass101.com, register and appropriate domain like MyAffiliateClass101.com or GetAffiliateClass101.com

Once you have your domain then forward it to you affiliate link. This is a free service just like when you move and you have your mail forwarded. Your referral will be sent directly to your merchant’s high converting sales page!

Now you can spend your valuable time on your education and implementing the skills learned to send traffic to your new domain. You will be wasting no time trying to learn to build landing pages, setting up and paying for hosting accounts, testing and retesting conversion rates or any of the other obligations that come with having your own web site.

I have affectionately named this how to affiliate marketing technique the Newbie Jump Start for it simplicity and ease of use. I’m no Einstein and this technique is not an original idea. This and many other skills, the how to affiliate marketing, I have learned by enrolling in several great affiliate marketing courses. A sort of investment in myself. I would encourage you to do likely.

I don’t know anyone who is affiliated in affiliated marketing. So I can’t really answer that. but I do know, that you wouldn’t be owning your own business unless you invest money into it. By means of a start up cost, or buying products yourself and re selling them, advertisement or something along those lines. Owning a business is not free. I wrote some things down that might help you to see for yourself if this is a good business to get involved in, using my business as an example. If on the list it checks out (you may have to do some research) but if it all checks out, then you can chose to do it. IF it’s a business, don’t just try it. You need to devote time and effort into it and build it. If your going to just try a business, you will most likely fail! So here’s a few things that you should take a look at before getting involved in any company.
    1. How long have they been in business? We checked to see how long our company was around, at the time it was nine years old and now it’s 15. Do you know when they started? If it’s under 5 years, then their is a risk factor
    2. Are they registered with the BBB. Ours is registered. I think this is important one.
    3. Who’s involved with the company? Like in ours Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki has endorsed our company. Many actors and actresses, business owners, government officials etc use our products. Check to see if anyone has endorsed this company. Also, meet with the co-founders. We’ve personally met our co-founders and found from our first meeting that they were incredible people with incredible visions. See if their’s a time where you can meet them. If your going to be doing business, there should be a time where you should have the chance to meet with them.
    4. What is the compensation plan now, and what was it like before.
See the history of the comp plan and see if increases and never decreases in it’s history. We checked with the records in our business and found that in over the years, the compensation plan had only gotten better each year. As long as we’ve been involved, we’ve now witnessed the compensation plan always increasing. Check the history on yours.
5.Have they been featured in magazine’s? For instance our company has been featured in several magazines Like Success, Fortune, USA Today etc. Check to see if they have. You can get a lot of information on the company by reading about them.
    6. Has Inc 500 rated them? This magazine or slit rated our company the 22nd fastest growing company in revenue in it’s first 5 years. Inc 500 shows the top 500 businesses in revenue growth. Check to see what Inc 500 rated the company your looking at.
    7. Do they have a physical address that you can go to? Check for an address not just a P.O. Box
    8. Where are their headquarters? Our world headquarters is in Farmington Hills Michigan, Personally been there, (If your here in the states) Other headquarters in different countries. and US headquarters in Charlotte.
    9. What does the start up cost take care of? If there is no start up cost, what will you have to be dishing out and for what? In my business headquarters takes care of all the billing for my customers, Inventory, Customer services, Order Entry, Employees, workman’s comp, Cross referencing, Licensing, Insurance, paperwork, accounts payables, accounts receivables etc.
    10. What is the product and service you would be selling.
Is the product and service in high demand? For instance we offer services that people are already using every day and paying for anyway, but at a lower cost. Things like Local and Long distance telephone services, Internet, video phones, digital phones, cellular phones through all the major cellular providers. We make a percentage every single month they pay their bills. Everyone uses them and everyone pays for them. When money gets tight, would they keep your service or be able to run to the store and be able to purchase them on sale? Leaving you to have to wait until they run out of what they just purchased, or wait until their finances get settled? This is what I mean by high demand.
So many different things to check out in making sure a business is a good one to get involved in. If the business feels right to you, and all questions are answered and you feel good about it, then I’d say jump in. Running a business is different then a job though. You have to treat it like it’s your child and not just something your going to “try” you have to believe in the product and service and go at it full force. This is your future your talking about, no one else’s.
I hope my examples of what we looking into with our business helps you be able to find the same answers in the business your looking into. Forget about asking the common question and asking someone how much they make in their business to determine if you’d get involved in this or not. In a business, it doesn’t matter what one business is making over another. It only matters what you do in “YOUR” business. I hate it when people ask me how much I make. Because they’re not going to walk into and start up their business making what I make. I’ve been involved with my business for over six years. So yeah, I will make more. If you tell someone how much you make, then it’s a psychological thing that they expect to make that amount in a week, and that is just not going to happen. Six years of building a business verses 1 day. So don’t even ask. Look at the possibilities for YOURSELF.

There are various types of affiliate marketing “techniques” to make money, but the most common way is to join a company’s affiliate program and start getting people to go to their website through link you may have on either a basic website, blog, or social media site etc… The links that you provide for people click on to go to an affiliate company’s site tell the affiliate vendor’s what web site sent them the customer and will track how much commission the affiliate marketer will get (which usually based on sales) and will send payment to the affiliate who directed the customer to them.
Many affiliates who are profitable at this business will use their websites to harvest emails “legitimately” first. They do this by providing good content on their sites that readers are interested in. They then will ask for an email address to which they might send a free e-book, have a newsletter to subscribe too, or perhaps have a very educational video that can be watched. Many good marketers will then send good legitimate content to their potential customers that is useful to them, then “soft sell” sell them a product that will give them a commission for sending their buyer to the seller’s site.
The Super Basic Steps of Affiliate marketing in 5 steps:
    1. Put up a website
    2. Sign up for an affiliate program that you feel has products that you have the ability to promote well
    3. Add the affiliate links that are provided from the affiliate program you signed up with to your website.
    4. Continuously work to Optimize your site to be found in the major search engines and get visitors
    5. Find more products and keep promoting and building your site

Affiliate marketing is a REAL business. If you take it seriously and work hard at it, I honestly feel anyone can succeed. It’s hard work, but well worth it. I heard that 99% who attempt internet business of people never make any money, and it’s mostly because they quit too soon.

There are many books you can get at local libraries that can get you educated on the subject. I recommend watching YouTube videos by lisa3876, my wife says she was the easiest for her to understand the concepts and really excited her to try and get started.

By the way, when doing your research, be warned that affiliate marketing “educational” websites are usually trying to sell you something and can be VERY persuasive. Try not to buy anything if you can help it unless you are 100% ready to proceed and the seller has a minimum of a 30 day return policy so you have ample time to really review it. I’ve spent thousands on my education to build my affiliate business and can tell you that if you work at it consistently, it can be done.

    Good luck!

Everyone on this page (so far) is offering you a program (except for Helen) and they all benefit from those programs if you join the programs. But that does not answer your question …

A blog is a type of software that helps you post (display) small articles on the web without having to set up a website. Most software for blogging are free.

Go to http://blogger.com to see some examples or set up a free one.

What’s the point of blogging? Well, you can start talking about a specific topic eg beahc vacations. The you promote your blog and get traffic (visitors) to it and build a relationship with your readers.

Then if yor recommend a product or a holiday package from a company some of your readers may buy. If you are an affiliate for tht company, when somone buys you get a commission. The company pays you directly.

So selling (by promoting or recommending) products from other companies that you are registered with as an affiliate is called affiliate marketing.

You can do affiliate markeitng with or without blogging. There are a huge number of ways.

Can you make “quick” money, from affiliate markeitng? Yes and no. It is possible to make “quick” money but not for someone totally new.

When you know what you’re doing, you can do anything quickly.

First you need to learn about affiliate marketing. Do some searches. Do not join any prigrams. Just learn from the info already published and there’s a ton of it out there.

For example, do a search on

    http://ezinearticles.com

for “affiliate marketing”. It is completely free. There is no registration or anything else. And LEARN LEARN LEARN.

How much can you make? There’s a guy called Chris Wilson I think. He started with affiliate marketing (after learning what to do … took him a few months). He started earning a few hundred dollars per month …. and eventually hit $100,000 per month.

There are people who make 100K per week!

But the vast majoirty of people never make any money because they do not learn the basics and the intermediate and then the advanced stuff. They learn just a little and don’t even apply half of what they learn.

They then give up and move on to another “scheme” or “program” and there are tons of those as you can see from the recommendations (offers) on this page.

And they continue to jump from one program to another. Literally millions of people go on program hopping for 2 or 3 years and spend thousands each and earn nothing.

Don’t be one of those. Just learn, apply, monitor the results, make little (but very important) improvements and monitor again. This continuous process willl make rich beyond your imagination and you don’t need any schemes or programs or tricks or shortcuts (that don’t exist).

    Happy learning and earning
    S

There are numerous websites on the Internet that offers affiliate marketing courses and are usually renamed “Home Business” or “Work from home opprotunites” but never the less it is still good old fashioned affiliate marketing. When I got into the whole affiliiate marketing world there were so many courses for sale. I actually bought more than I care to admit but they all had one thing in common, it was the same old “how to’s” just packaged with different covers. Affiliate marketing has been around for a long time. But there is a new way of learning this game now. With the invention of screen sharing, that is where usually an IT guy can log onto your computer and see what is wrong with it and fix it for you. The affiliate marketing gang has joined those ranks. Affiliatesitebuilder.net and so far the only one that offers affiliate market training right from your own computer. They can log onto your computer and take you by the hand and not only explain in real time but actually show you how to start affiliate marketing from A to Z.

Even though screen sharing has been around a couple of years
( gotomycomputer.com) and (gotomeeting.com) are the true pioneers. They have started a new version called gotoassist.com and that is the program Affiliatesitebuilder.net is using. It is 100% safe and secure. You sign onto a support site and then you are invited to a LIVE web session. The folks at Affiliate Site Builder take over from there.

A few of my friends have tried it just to see what it was all about. They told me I needed to check it out myself as I am an Affiliate of many products. I was actually inpressed. I acted as though I had no idea what I was doing and they explained everything very professinally and didn’t make me feel like an idiot. They even showed me how to create a website that was just for promoting products.

So if you are new to affiliate marketing and have no idea where to start, affiliate site builder is the first place you shoul start. It is a whole lot easier somebody showing you how to use affiliate marketing rather than trying to figure it on your own.

Oh and yes…I wish I had thought of this first.

http://www.affiliatesitebuilder.net is the website if you want to learn more. By the way, they even offer a phone number with a live person to talk to. Now there is a twist.

Go to the Warrior Forum and search for popular threads. This will give you a good picture of what the most successful people are doing. Choose one strategy and stick with it.

Try to learn all the aspects of it.

For example, you can market Clickbank products with article marketing or blogging. Again, go to the Warrior Forum and search for free reports on that subject.

choose one, be focused and persisitent and you’ll make money.

How is affiliate marketing? Is it another smoke screen to sell useless guides to desperate people?
I am desperate to find a way to start my own home based business, and affiliate marketing seems good because there is virtually no startup cost (I’m broke). Is this something likely to bring in a real income?

    Syed… and others…
Most often, being an affiliate is as simple as going to Clickbankdotcom and taking a look at the bestsellers in the niche you’re going to be working in online. Sign up as an affiliate for the ones you like and get the affiliate link and any other promotional material (banners, etc., ) that the product owner makes available. You put up a site that promotes this (or multiple products in the same niche) and each time someone visits your site, clicks on your affiliate link, which identifies you as claiming a commission, if one of the people you send, buys the product.
If you’re working in a particular niche, you could also do a Google search for what you believe product owners would be using as keywords on their site. If you like the look of the products that come up, most often you’ll find a link on their site to their affiliate program.
From my own point of view, I combine affiliate products with my own products. And most of those I’ve purchased as PLR (private label rights), which allows me to put my own name on the product as author. That way, I get the full price for my own products and possibly some commissions from the affiliate products in the same niche. Win/win!
