There is a myth that using Craigslist PVA to post ads with makes your ads bulletproof.  In no way does this make your ads bulletproof or any better than ads posted from a non-PVA account.  Phone verification has no impact on how long your ads stay live and stuck on Craigslist.  They will allow you to post in the services sections and other sections where you may have gotten your IP blocked and now need a PVA to bypass.  Other than this, PVA have no impact on how long your ad sticks.

The biggest factors affecting how long an ad sticks on Craigslist are the section you post in, the content of your ad and your IP.  Different sections have different spam filters.  These spam filters scan the content of your ad to see if what you are posting is relevant or not.  If you post something for sale in the jobs section, it’ll probably be deleted almost instantly.  The other thing is IP.  If you post 100 ads all from the same IP, it is pretty obvious you are spamming and don’t expect your ads to stick for long.
