Inexpensive Halloween Costumes

Inexpensive Halloween Costumes for You and Your Child
Author: Paul Banas
It’s that time of year again when ghosts and goblins roam the streets. Halloween brings out the child in all of us so get into the spirit and collaborate with your child to wear a tag team costume set. Here are some ideas for Halloween costumes that are easy to execute:
Dumbledore and Harry Potter
Any child who knows and loves Harry Potter (which is the majority of children out there) will enjoy if his father dresses up as the all-knowing Dumbledore. You will need to don a robe, a beard, and a wig. As Harry Potter, your child can wear a robe, cape, glasses, the wizard hat, and a fake scar on his forehead.
Both of you should have wands for your Halloween costumes. If you have a daughter who would prefer not to dress up as a boy then she can be Hermione. She could make her hair frizzy and wear preppy clothing like a private school uniform. Don’t forget the robe.
The Skipper and Gilligan
Enter the world of Gilligan’s Island by dressing up as the Skipper and Gilligan for your Halloween costumes. You can easily wear a blue shirt with a white collar, khaki pants, and a captain’s hat. Your child will play the part of Gilligan by wearing a red shirt with a white collar and a sailor hat.
Dr. Evil and Mini Me
The cliched phrase, “The apple does not fall far from the tree” can apply to Halloween costumes as well. In Austin Powers, Dr. Evil and his Mini Me are an unbeatable tag team. If you want to keep your Halloween costumes as simple as possible then you and your child can just wear identical clothing. If you’re interested in mimicking the characters more closely then go to your local costume store or search online to find a more authentic ensemble.
Halloween’s just around the corner. And while your kids are all set to have a blast, they will appreciate your effort and participation in making it a memorable day for them. Find tips to curve halloween pumpkin.

Does anyone have any good, inexpensive ideas for couples halloween costumes?
Were having a halloween party and we want to have costumes that go together but would rather not buy them, they can be expensive. Does anyone have any inexpensive ideas?

What are some very inexpensive yet great halloween costumes ideas? ?
I only get dressed up because I work at a school and I do it for the kids. But, I’m not into Halloween and otherwise wouldn’t bother dressing up. So, I don’t want to buy anything expensive, I just need some creative ideas to keep the cost down, yet let the children see I can get into the spirit. Thanks!

Im going to be a crayon with my friends and it only cost us $10 per costume. All we did was use felt for the main body, covered a party hat in felt for the tip. Wore underarmour and leggins, and uggs to keep warm and used black felt for “Crayola” and decorations =]
Hope this helps.
P.S. $10 doesnt include underarmour, leggings, and uggs (obviously)

Go to your local thrift store and check out the clothes! You can find everything from king and queen of the disco to k&q of the rodeo!
You can get an old ladies house dress that will fit your hubby and find a grey wig put pink curlers in it, use small beach balls or water balloons to give him a saggy old lady chest! you can put them in a t-shirt and just have him tuck it in to his pants that way they will sit down on his waist! And you can dress up as an old man you can get a balding head wig for about $10, baggy polyester pants and suspenders or a wild color polyester leisure suit at the thrift store.
We have hit the thrift stores, before the regular stores, for years and usually end up with stuff for great costumes. One year my son got a 3 piece pinstripe suit for $8 and went as a gangster, his gf got a dress that looked like a flapper for $4 and we added some beaded trim and feather spent a total of $15 on her dress and they were the cuteste gangster and his moll you have ever seen! They won best costume, actually they won 2yrs in a row, and in thrift store finds!

Oh boy, your in a pretty tough situation… I’m 14, I bought a velvet hooded cape… i cost alot though, and vamp teeth. You could actually just buy vamp teeth(fangs work fine) put on some eyeliner, smudge it ALOT around your eyes, pale your face alittle with white face paint, and put on maroonish lipstick, dress in dark clothing, and viola, the perfect vampire-in-disguise-look! Hope you like
Have fun, and tricking isn’t that fun… trust me
