It dawned on me down the track, that only a relatively small amount of marketers amongst the millions currently marketing in this exciting medium have ‘perfected their system’ a lot have actually ‘borrowed’ from a successful system currently attracting great traffic and put their stamp on it and claimed it as their own having knocked it around enough for it not to be seen as a mere copy.

It further dawned on me that the self appointed ‘guru’ most times knows little often verging on nothing about the the workings of putting a site together he/she is best described as a marketer. They perceive the idea, if you like, the vision and are astute enough to pay others to bring their site to fruition, smart business.

Belonging to an internet marketing group that meets monthly has taught me that there are distinct boundaries of knowledge between computer programmers, computer technicians, site builders…so the list goes on. They have learned to ‘outsource’ the areas that they are not comfortable with, in my initial learning curve I thought that if I were talking to computer technician that he/she would know about site-building and a bit about marketing methods. I was way off beam, they would back off at a rapid rate of knots and give me the name of the person that I needed in any given area.

The lesson for any new internet marketer particularly is use and pay for reliable outsourcing it may often seem expensive but keep your eye on the big picture it can save you enormous amounts of time and that will equate to saving money and will quicken your learning curve to a profit producing business. It’s the ‘cost of doing business’.
