If you a blogger that is in search of why your monetized blog is not generating cash then you may have read an article or two that states the simple steps of content, keywords and backlinks.

You may have read a few posts about taking polls with little pictures attached the amount that person made the month before.

In your quest to find ways to make money online you must have stumbled upon sites that state writing articles or reviews are a great way to earn some extra money. These ways are a great way to earn extra money. However never has quick and simple as many people make them seem.

Let’s pick apart the first one – making money through your blog. If you already own a blog and you do want to generate some income with it you can! You need to start with reading, and lots of it. Then prepare to do some editing to our online blog to enter your newly found keywords. After wards you will find yourself editing your articles to post them up at other places to create a large quantity of backlinks because you now know how important sites that seem to like your blog is important to Google. All of this takes a lot of time, education and effort. Then to have to do it all over many times with many blogs or websites ( aka ‘niche’ sites ) to make the money you wish to make.

Let’s talk about taking online polls. The advertisements are everywhere and you can create money through those .50 cents at a time and you risk taking the time to do a poll just so the end they will ask for your cell phone number. This is frustrating. If you think of it, a poll takes about 10 minutes to do for .50. Not a lot of income per hour. On the upside is that you can make a few bucks mindlessly.

Writing reviews and articles are also a good source of income from home. If you are good writer with a lot of opinions and ideas than writing sounds right for you. There are places like HubPages and alike that allow you to monetize your article or you can get paid a few bucks for review. However they are time consuming and the money you make may is again not that much per hour. Especially if you are just beginning. Not to say that those ways are not imposable to make a decent income, just know that those take time to build. Cheques flowing through your mail slot won’t happen right away.

You may have noticed that Time is the big theme here. The time you need to take to make money online is what you need to consider. If you want to make money from home through the net, you have to realize that your new venture can take as much time as working outside of the home. In fact, if you want to make the money quicker than most, do not listen to those who say that you can do this part time. I would recommend considering working from home via your blog as your new job. With any job you need to consider a few aspects of how this is going to affect your life.

Before you begin you need to ask yourself a few basic questions:

1. What do you do during the day?

If you do a lot of volunteering or if you already have a job, you may want to consider your internet work as part time.

2. Are you able to give up something to do the work you want to do?

You may need to consider what is important to you, you may not have enough free time to spend working on your computer.

3. Are other members in your house willing to support your projects?

Most of the time family considers attempt to make money at home through the internet as crazy. For the most part it is and at bare minimum a risk of wasted time. Are the members of the family willing to give up something so that you can work (usually time with you or cutting back on their time from the computer)? Talk to your family members honestly about the work your plans, ideas, goals and thoughts.

4. Are you able to discipline your self to do the work you need to do?

Imagine not having a boss. Imagine not being accountable to anyone else but yourself. Sounds great I bet! However, most people ‘slack off’ or not get nearly as much done as they had hoped for the first little while.

5. Did you set a goal?

Always a good idea! A goal is a great incentive to do the work you need to do, may even be better than your boss.

6. How much time can you realistically give to achieve your goals?

Try to figure out a realistic goal and if you do not make it, that is okay. You are putting the amount of work you need in and you are just learning just as I am.

If you are able to spend the time trying to make money at home and the time you need to work on your projects and if you got your families support, then go for it! You got nothing to lose and some pennies in your pocket to gain.
