It is very often the case that all of the talk about house solar panels is purely about the environmental benefits and going green at home. Rarely do we hear about the financial benefits of installing solar roof panels.
So what are the benefits to you….
You can make a profit simply by installing Solar Roof Panels at your home.
Many people are building and installing house solar panels right now and not only saving money, but making money at the same time.

Well, I can reveal to you the primary ways for you to make money by installing solar roof panels at your home.
Here is how you can make money :
1) Selling Electricity – It is perfectly possible to sell any excess electricity straight back to your current supplier. If you generate more electricity than your house requires, you can make money easily by selling it back!

3)Tax Rebates – Not too many people know this but in many states in the US and even some european countries, you will qualify for a tax cut or rebate if you have solar roof panels installed on your property. It’s cash back in your pocket!
Important – Do not ignore these points as they are all great money making incentives which you should consider when looking at solar roof panels for your home.

The solar roof works when the car is off. That’s when the solar roof runs a ventilation system that prevents the passenger cabin from heating up excessively from being parked in a sunny spot.

Most likely you’ll set up a deal with the utility company to have them install a grid-tie meter that can monitor power you put out as well as take in.
As for a roofing material, they just recently came out with solar roof tiles. Here’s an example: http://www.premierpower.com/solar_energy_residential/roof_solar_tile.php
I don’t think they generate as much electricity as other panels because they’re limited in their orientation to the sun. That may be ok for you though since the savings from the roof install may make up for this.

One grant period just ended and I think, for now, there are none active. I think, though, that our new president will get something going in that department so, if I were you, I’d start the planning and the budgeting. By the time you get it all figured out, you’ll likely have some financial help around.
The link below goes to the company I used to prepare a bid on my house. Be careful, it’s an ad. But you can find phone numbers and call them. It’ll be their business to track things like grants.

From a purely theoretical standpoint, the solar energy that your panels convert to electricity can’t make your house hotter.
From a practical standpoint, the solar panels will shade the roof somewhat, especially if they are mounted on some kind of support a couple of inches above the roof plane.
Hard to say how much of an effect this would have.

What are solar roof skins and how does one convert a shingled roof to a solar powered one?
What is the cost to make this conversion? per sq. ft? How is this roof wired together?
Who created the battery technology to make these new roof skins a great idea at a great price?

If I install solar panels on a 50K sq.ft. roof in N.Calif (PGE cust.), how do I sell the energy?
I have commercial tenants and I believe that I can generate more than they’d use. I am planning on replacing the wiring in the building and can install individual meters.
Also, I intend to replace the roof. Is there a good solar roof material that serves as the roof covering and solar energy collector?

Does the solar roof on the prius work while the car off?
I saw the demo online and I’m wondering if the car while off regulates the temp. so when you turn on the car or ac it uses less energy or does the solar roof only work if the car is on?

If my solar panel is to replace my roof, does it make my home less hot?
I’m not sure what’s my roof is made of, could be clay or concrete or decra. But you know this material absorb heat and subsequently travel all the way down into the house, that makes a house hot. Nevertheless, thought of going green, if i replace my roof with solar panel/cell, does it also make my home less hot since it does not absorb heat as much as conventional roof (solar cells are suppose to absorb light, right?)
