After a trip to the wedding section of Barnes and Noble, I found myself a bit confused as to which wedding planner to get. They all were very similar. I ended up picking this one because it was a binder, which would allow me to add in my own things and had dividers with pockets. I also liked that it had a three hole punch included. I also liked that it had budget checklists AND advice on each item needed. For example: for the flower girl basket- it described the differences between them and then range of prices they run so when I went out looking I would know that an $100 flower girl basket was a rip off. Anyway, this planner has been awesome!

I didn’t actually buy this on Amazon, but in a bookstore at the mall (for a lot more than what amazon is charging, I’m an idiot for not checking here first), ah,I digress. This planner is very helpful. It goes over all aspects of wedding planning and I love the 3 ring binder idea. I can add my own pages to it so that when I go to dress shop or to talk to the photographer I have all of the stuff I need. My favorite part about this book is the break down of every little thing. Each section has a huge list of questions to ask each vendor. You can add all of the vendors from each section that you have talked to, so that when you decide who to go with you can compare them side by side and see who includes what in the price. It’s very useful and I highly recomend it.

This planner has dividers with pockets, a section of colored photos to help you get started collecting ideas, and sections with example ceremony set-ups and traditions. The three-hole punch provided could work a bit better, but it does the job and lets me add pages I tear out of magazines to the binder easily.

The planner is very customizable (add pages you like, remove pages you don’t), and gives you a starting block you wouldn’t get with an empty binder. It breaks everything down into little pieces – from the Ceremony rentals to the Reception catering. I would definitely recommend this for someone who plans on comparing a lot of vendors or is getting married at a location that requires you to bring in rentals, catering, insurance, a separate reception site, etc. All these details can be efficiently organized by this planner

The information provided is good reference, but some didn’t work for my event (like the budget percentages). I found that I’m not using the pages provided because many things are included in our location’s “wedding package”.

This binder has been very helpful for keeping things neat during this crazy planning time. Every time I meet with a vendor they always comment on how organized I must be. The pictures and checklists in the binder are helpful, but most things you can easily find online. The included hole-puncher is super helpful for immediately hole-punching contracts!

From my Fiance: I am very happy with this wedding planner. I think that it is very comprehensive and has some great ideas. The budget spreadsheets are very helpful… I also like that you can insert your own pages or folders to keep all your wedding related documents in one place… I highly recommend this book!
