Trading is both a simple and fairly complex game. It depends how you approach it. Trading requires a neutral mind. Following rules is a key attribute of successful trading. Many failed traders already develop their mind of particular direction. Neutrality itself requires that there is no direction of market. Whenever there is a setup formed according to the given rules, one should act swiftly without hesitation. Here comes the discipline.
Successful trading in futures, emini, stocks, options, forex or any market requires sound strategies and discipline. Actually discipline is more important than strategies. Learning the top notch strategies will not make you successful unless you are committed to follow rules strictly. Sound strategy can be applied to all markets. There are some so-called analysts in the market whose rules apply to one market only and at particular time. Objective analysis covers every market pointing out multiple opportunities in a week for day trading as well as swing trading. If you manage your risk effectively you can do daytrading or swing trading in any market. Rules are usually same in every time frame whether it is emini, emini futures, commodity trading, futures trading, options, stocks. Stock trading itself presents numerous opportunities because there are countless stocks in stock market. Another huge market is a currency market. Currency trading usually called forex trading offers huge potential of income if you know how to limit your risk. Many reputed brokers are now offering forex trading. The key is how you discipline yourself and follow rules all the time.
Another mistake of new traders is to trade live immediately after learning to trade. Paper trading with discipline could give huge amount of confidence over a period of time. What differentiates successful traders from failed traders is right decision at right time. Tough mindset is required to trade every market in every time frame.

Forex futures trading is a fluctuating (exciting) game, but these are some currency trades I’m watching right now:
- USD / JPY
- AUD / USD
- USD / CAD
- EUR / JPY
- GBP / JPY
- EUR / GBP
For some reason (call it a strategy if you want) I’m watching GBP / JPY. EUR / JPY too has seems to be showing some interesting movements…. but I don’t want to give anyone any ideas. Mine your data, use the right tools, and work fast.
The futures market is about speed (and profit). Factor in historical currency trends and the nature of the global political landscape. That’s the best strategy in forex futures trading.

Hi there,
Opening up an account with SaxoBank, It’s a international bank.
Use their trading platform on forex options.
Long a PUT Options on GBP/USD for 9 months and the premium is 0.105 .
0.105 : 20,000 X 0.105 = $2100

The main difference between trading stocks and futures is the leverage involved.
In a stock margin account, you can trade at 2:1 or 4:1 leverage. In a futures account, you can trade the E-mini or Dow mini futures with 20:1 or 40:1 leverage. This causes your profits and losses and account value to be extermely volatile, and very dangerous if you trade at maximum leverage. In a futures account, you can lose more than you have invested.
Forex is just another form of futures account, except here, the maximum leverage is 200:1. Wo, how much trouble can we get into now? You have to be aware of the economic reports for the currencies traded and the US reports, like GDP, retail sales, and particularly interest rate adjustments and differentials. Unless you are willing to trade gap trades, the opportunity is very little here compared to the huge move from the report. These trades can be very plodding, in between reports. Or some big news announcement will break, or someone declares war, or sets off a bomb, and blows you completely out of the trade. Trading the forex is not for the beginner or faint of heart. Find a good simulator and practice, practice.

What is the minimum capital needed for forex, options and futures trading ? Free and recommended simulators ?
Hello guys,
I’m interested in learning more about forex, options and futures trading. I heard that there are mini or micro account that can go as little as US$ 200 or 300 dollar. Is it true ?
Also, any recommendations for free forex, options and futures trading simulators ? I know that some websites provide this service but usually the virtual capital is too high (10K or up), and I want to set the initial capital to small amount like US$ 300 or 500.
If possible, is there any recommendations for courses/books ? I’m not aiming for those “fancy” amount of income, several thousand/month is OK. Of course I’m not looking for courses that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars…
Thanks for the input. I agree that it’s a bit too much to expect thousands of returns for such a small amount of capital.
But, if I expect my capital which is around 300 or 500 to be doubled by around 1-2 month. Doesn’t is sound possible ????
My plan is actually something like this :
The capital will be 300 or 500. The goal is to double the capital by around 1 – 2 mounth(s).
When I have more money, I will buy more lots…
To make it safer, every time I manage to double the previous capital, I will do one more time before I plan to use more capital to trade.
It will be something like this (US$500 capital) :
500 – 1000 – 1000 (don’t use for trading) – 2000 – 2000(don’t use for trading) – 4000 and so on …
Now the problem is to find the system that are able to do this… Any recommendations ?
I personally distrust systems that cost hundreds or thousands or dollars. There are simply too many scams…

What are some of the differences between trading stocks vs. futures vs. forex?
I trade only stocks right now but I’ve heard people swear by trading futures or forex. I’ve never tried either. Is one more volatile and therefore easier to make more money?

Where can you buy one-time forex futures contract?
I am planning to attend university in Britain next year, but I currently get paid in USD. I want to take advantage of the low USD-GBP exchange rate to buy a one-time futures contract so that when I actually have my money in USD in 9 months, I can buy GBP at a guaranteed rate. I am planning to convert about $20k. Where would be the best place to buy this contract, any idea about how much it can cost (hundreds? thousands)? thanks.
