Writing articles is one of the best ways to guarantee that you are going to get eyeballs to see what you are promoting.  One of the first things you have to overcome as an affiliate marketer is your lack of traffic.  Writing articles can do the trick of sending traffic your way that you can then convert into sales and commissions for you.

If you have yet to tap into the rich resource of writing articles to promote the products that you are marketing as an affiliate,  then you are missing out on sales.  It’s that simple.  One article can reach 100 viewers quicker than you may imagine and that means even with a 1% conversion rate,  you are almost guaranteed a sale.

The more articles that you write,  the more sales that you are going to make.

And the best part is,  rather than just sending someone to a sales page and “hoping” that they make a purchase,  you can send them to a landing page.  Here,  you can collect their name and their e-mail address and now you can build a relationship with them.

All studies show that people are more likely to buy if they feel like they have an on-going relationship with a marketer that they can trust.  You can drive the number of sales that you make through the roof,  simply by sending out an e-mail to your list and getting a regular stream of sales coming in.

It entirely depends on the product. Consider what is known as the ‘long tail’ of search marketing. That is, the hundreds of different variations or related searches people may type that might bring you traffic. There might be 1000s giving lots of opportunities for people to see your ad.

very often the keywords you think are going to bring lots of traffic turn out to be very expensive as your competition is also bidding on those terms. It is often a good idea to avoid the popular terms and stick to the cheap ‘long tail’ terms.

You can then pre qualify your clicks by ensuring that the name, availability and cost of your item are mentioned in your ad. This way you are more likely to only spend money on clicks that are likely to convert to business.

    Good luck.

It is actually very easy, once you know how. All you have to do is offer products and/or services with high enough demand and not too much competition.

Finding the products and setting up the site is easy. There are tons of software on the marketing that help you choose “hot” products.

Once you have chosen your product and set up your website you then need to drive targeted traffic to the site. Driving traffic to webistes is where lots of people choke. However, driving targeted traffic to websites is also easy. You have 2 main choices for driving traffic to websites. You can either pay for the traffic from a reputable source or you can apply your own time and energy doing free things to drive traffic.

If you try to do it yourself it can be very time consuming, time and energy that most people don’t have.

So the other option is to find reputable source and buy traffic to your website product or service.

The thing is that if you don’t already know how to design websites/pages and you don’t know of reputable sources to get targeted traffic from, you have a problem.

Well, I have the solution to the problem. I specialize in Internet marketing and I have a 2 year degree in web design, so I know my stuff.

How do I set up an affiliate marketing campaign?
I work for a media company that wants me to initiate an affliate network structure. At the moment I work in SEM but I have had no experience of affiliate marketing. I need to know the very basics about where and how to start building this from scratch. And, does anyone know what sort of timescale I would be looking at for initial implimentation? It will be focused on the finance industry. Particularly B2B.

How to setup affiliate marketing campaigns?
I literally need to be spoon fed. Are there any good sites that have step by step tutorials, examples?

    It’d be even better if I had a mentor/coach (I’d split profits).

    Please help.
