Why Do Ads Get Ghosted & Flagged On Craigslist?

Find that your ads aren’t sticking on Craigslist, even if you use Craigslist PVA or a Craigslist proxy?  There is a difference between your ads being flagged and ads being deleted.  The problem is, it can be hard sometimes to tell what is happening to your ads, but there is a main difference between ads being flagged and ads being deleted.

If an ad is flagged, it was flagged by a user or browser on Craigslist.  This means that your ad did go live and it stuck on Craigslist for everyone to see.  The problem here is that for some reason someone thought your ad was inappropriate.  This happens if you post an ad in the wrong city, the section was incorrect or the content of your ad.  A quick example here would be posting a Job ad for a position in New York in the for sale section in Miami.  You can see how quickly someone browsing Craigslist would spot and flag this ad.

Ads being deleted or ghosted usually occur when the content of your ad triggered a spam filter on Craigslist.  This usually happens if you post a spammy ad or you post an ad in the wrong section.  For example, posting a for sale ad in the jobs section would probably be ghosted and wouldn’t stick.

To stop your ads being flagged or ghosted on Craigslist make sure you post in the right section and the content of your ad isn’t considered spam.  Doing this greatly increases the lifespan of your ads and how long they stick.

Setting up your own Elite Proxy is super easy. Use it as a Craigslist Proxy with your Craigslist PVA.
